The Park District house league is finally here!

Monday Night League
The Park District offers weekly match play for Men and Woman of all skill levels and is geared for those who want to gain experience in organized play. Advanced players will be on hand to offer valuable tips and strategy for you to improve your game. This program is great for entry level and recreational players and is all about having fun playing paddle in the winter. Play will be on Monday nights January through March. Players provide their own paddle. To play in the league, players must also join the paddle tennis program offered by the Park District. Cost for league play event is only $20! Sign up deadline is January 6, 2010 and play begins January 11, 2010, 7:00 – 10:00 pm.

Under clear Skies with little wind the temp was in the low 20's for the first JR paddle clinic. A perfect night for paddle.

Even though it was the coldest evening of the year our 11 paddlers had a blast learning the game and playing

We drilled the new paddlers for an hour and half and then retreated to the trailer for Pizza and Root Beer. Afterwards the paddlers wanted to keep going so we had round robbin matches for another hour plus! Overall they played for almost 2 and half hours!
